The United House of Prayer For All People

OF THE CHURCH ON THE ROCK OF THE APOSTOLIC FAITH

The Honorable Bishop A. D. Cunningham, Leader

OUR CREED

         WE BELIEVE

In the Almighty God, maker of Heaven and Earth.

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.” (Psalms 95:6)

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:” (Deuteronomy 6:4)

        WE BELIEVE

In Jesus Christ, His only begotten son; Who was

conceived by the Holy Ghost and crucified for the
redemption of the sins of the people; so that all men

would have a right to the tree of life.

“But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream,

saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived

in her is of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 1:20)

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to-day, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” (Colossians 1:14)

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much

more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:8–9)

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter

in through the gates into the city.” (Revelation 22:14)

       WE BELIEVE

In water baptism for the repentance of sins.

“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning

     at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47)

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the

remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38)

        WE BELIEVE

That you must be born again of the Holy Ghost.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot

see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them

     utterance.” (Acts 2:4)

“He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not

so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.” (Acts 19:2)

“And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues,

     and prophesied.” (Acts 19:6)

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly

Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” (Luke 11:13)

        WE BELIEVE

In one leader as the ruler of the kingdom of God.

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell

shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou

shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in

     heaven.” (Matthew 16:18–19)

“And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock

     was Christ.” (1 Corinthians 10:4)

“Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the

ruler of the house of God.” (Nehemiah 11:11)

“And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household,

to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so

doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.” (Luke 12:42–44)

“And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom

of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.” (Acts 28:30–31)

“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
