(December 21, 2023) All are invited to a 12-noon service on Saturday, December 23, 2023 as The United House of Prayer for All People ® will dedicate a new church edifice at 400 N Bridge St. in Eden, North Carolina. The previous building was significantly damaged in an early morning fire on November 14, 2021. The new, completed building, which was constructed and furnished wholly debt-free, will be a fresh start for a growing congregation which has patiently awaited the rebuilding of their spiritual home. Bishop A. D. Cunningham, the new national leader of The United House of Prayer, will conduct this—his first dedication service—in only his 72nd day as the chief executive officer, sole trustee, and spiritual advisor of the national Christian body.
“Prior to his passing in August, Bishop Bailey—my predecessor and constant inspiration, began this work on behalf of the local congregation in Eden, as well as, all of those who love the Lord Jesus,” said Bishop A. D. Cunningham. “We will carry out this dedication service on Saturday, and all are welcome. The old edifice may have previously succumbed to a fire, but the upcoming rededication will symbolize how those of us who are in Christ will, indeed, rise again. Nothing can keep us down.”
The United House of Prayer for All People ® edifice in Eden, North Carolina is a new and improved facility based on the original blueprints. Boasting 4,000 square feet, a 172-person seating capacity, and sanctuary ceilings swelling from 15 – 20 feet in height, the building will be multifunctioning as an ideal space for worship as well as a social hall complimented by a modern commercialized kitchen. The sanctuary is also accented by crystal chandeliers and sconces lining the walls on each side. Strength and splendor also characterize the sanctuary via wooden wainscot and framings for the crinkled, colored glassed windows.
